Artisan Aesthetic Clinics is seeking a Medical Director to drive clinical leadership and provide subject matter expertise to strengthen our clinical operations.

As a key leadership role, the Medical Director will be instrumental in delivering consistently high standards of clinical governance across all clinical aspects of our business, including safety, legislative adherence and importantly, client aesthetic outcomes. Along with the Artisan leadership team the Medical Director will be a crucial stakeholder in shaping the future of the Artisan brand.

About You

You have a successful track record in the medical field as a specialist medical practitioner. With demonstrated experience at a Group Leadership level, you can effectively inspire a team through your highly developed people skills and an unwavering commitment to clinical safety and operational excellence. You value working in a consultative and collaborative environment.

You are an AHPRA accredited medical practitioner with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and hold a relevant Specialist registration or Fellowship with a relevant medical college. You are highly proficient in all indications of cosmetic injecting, including advanced practice indications, and have significant practicing experience within the Aesthetics industry.

The Role

Leading the Medical Board, the key areas of focus of the Medical Director are:

  • Provisioning expert advice and providing leadership in the areas of clinical standards and practice in accordance with relevant legislation to ensure safety for clinicians and clients
  • Providing solutions to mitigate risk across Artisan via the oversight of the delivery and implementation of evidence-based practices, Clinical Standard Operating Procedures, infection control and adverse event management
  • Ensuring the team of Treating Doctors and Telehealth Doctors are delivering best practice clinical outcomes
  • Collaborating with the Clinical Nurse Specialist in their leadership and development of the Cosmetic Nurses and Dermal Therapists

  • Provide leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of Artisan within the boundaries of application legislation and standards of practice
  • Hold ultimate accountability for the accuracy and efficacy of all clinical protocols, such as Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring they are medically and procedurally accurate
  • Provide advice and direction to the Artisan Leadership Team to deliver effective communication and change management plans to ensure all clinical protocols are understood and adhered to by clinicians
  • Collaborate with the Group Leadership Team and Operations team to identify potential risks, develop solutions and implement mitigation strategies across the channel
  • Apply medical leadership and subject matter expertise to ensure the Treating Doctors and Telehealth team are delivering best practice and clinical outcomes
  • Support the positioning of Artisan as a premium brand by balancing treatment and service offerings with the requirement to adhere to AHPRA standards of practice and governing legislation
  • Deliver advanced training to doctors and nurses where required
  • Have strong commercial acumen in order to ensure that clinical activities deliver on Artisan’s financial objectives, but not at the expense of client and clinician safety
  • Research new modalities, techniques and products and make recommendations to the Artisan Leadership Team and Product and Operations team for implementation
  • Provide consultation, advice, and adverse event management for any medical issues that may arise within the clinic
  • Act as an ambassador for and represent Artisan in external environments

As the Artisan channel continues to grow, the Medical Director will also be required to perform client consultations and treatments in the initial stages of imbedding this role. A passion for delivering a personalised experience for clients is a must!
